Portfolio of Web Designs
This web site is obviously our premier example of a good solid web-site. It is designed to be search engine friendly, simple to use and with effective straight-forward design elements. Notice the speed and efficiency with which this site loads. As this site was recently completely rewritten, it's ranking in Google is still being worked on.
Daniel from Acceler8 Rehab asked us to design this site based on one he found on a commercial template selling web site. We organised to licence the design for him and built the site using the purchased template. Daniel now maintains the site himself.
Recently completed for the ACT Seniors Card, this site is search engine friendly and designed for maximum readability by people whose eyesight may not be as good as some. The design is mostly compliant with web-design standards and can be read by "screen readers" for the visually impaired. Colours and font sizes were chosen to be modern while maintaining maximum contrast for readability. The site includes a small amount of flash for ascetic purposes. Used sparingly, flash does not overly impact on readability by search engines.
This is our sister business site, written some years ago, for our therapy practice. The site remains simple and effective. It is definitely search engine friendly and ranks highly for certain targeted keywords. Due to it's age, it does have a few minor problems (e.g. the navigation wraps on some screens). This site will undergo a re-write in the near future to bring it up to modern standards. (In the web world anything over 2-years old is out-of-date!)
The Council on the Ageing (ACT) requested that we redesign their existing "older drivers" pages and contain them in a new site. The design is effective and provides good contrast for older readers.
